An Example of a Package Label for a Preparation

A preparation which contains dangerous substance(s) and is which is to be marketed Finland will have a label that contains at least the following:

• the commercial name of the preparation or other name (point 1),
• the name and contact information of the importer, manufacturer or his representative (7),
• the contents of dangerous preparations as it laid down in the Decision by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (3),
• hazard labels and their text descriptions (2),
• standard R-phrases that describe the danger (4),
• standard S-phrases that describe the safety measures (5),
• the quantity if the preparation is meant for retail sale (6), and
• other labels that are necessary for the safe use of the product as it is laid down in by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health Decisions (e.g., special labelling requirements concerning products meant for consumer use, Decision 979/1997, Annex 3 by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health)
